two things
first to honaker tiger fan I wouldnt call those JJ Kelly teams that made the playoffs a free ride they were pretty good and if they were in the BDD they could have won it

second I would love to see RED vs ORANGE for the reg D crown

Agreed...early prediction is Honaker holds on to the #1 seed followed by Haysi at #2...Gate City drops to #3 and Clintwood comes in at #4

1st round:
Clintwood at Honaker
Gate City at Haysi

Region D championship:
Haysi at Honaker

Alot of football to be played yet but thats the way I see it going down.

Appy at Burton

JJ Kelly has only made the playoffs like twice since they won state back in the early 80s. Honaker played Kelly back in the mid 90s when we were a pretty mediocre team and always beat them.

Haysi 48
Betsy Lane 7

I don't think Betsy Lane will score 7 points.

Honaker 42
Twin Valley 14

Hurley 50
C-wood 35

I don't think C-wood will put up 35.
Other than that the winners are all right just won't be that much offense from the non-BDD teams. Best game will be Hurley and Castlewood. This will also be a preview of possibly how bad Hurley may beat Twin Valley.

Yeah Betsy Layne is weak but Haysi's first two non district opponents were Rye Cove and Clintwood both of which are leading contenders to win their respective districts.

Look at the rest of the schedule before you begin calling it weak. They play 4 Double A schools including two that are division 4. Oh and by the way the beat clintwood who beat powell valley and there is no doubt in my mind that they would beat j. i. burton bad.
